To accommodate a system upgrade, Webster First will shut down all branches and services from approximately 7pm Friday, September 6 through approximately 8am Monday, September 9.
Why is Webster First shutting down for the weekend?
We're committed to offering our members the best possible service and protecting the security of their accounts. To better serve you, we are performing a major system upgrade which requires us to shut down for an extended period of time. When service resumes, you won't notice any changes to your accounts or the way you do business with us.
How long will the shutdown last?
All services will go down at approximately 7pm on Friday, September 6. Our staff will be working hard throughout the weekend to perform the upgrade and return service as soon as possible. Currently, we are anticipating full service restoration by 8am on Monday, September 9.

Will my debit card work?
Yes, your debit card will work, however, Overdraft Protection and Privilege will be unavailable.
These steps will help prepare you for our upgrade weekend
Check your balances Friday, September 6 by 3pm.
Knowing your balance will help you avoid any issues at the register while Overdraft Protection and Privilege are down.
Pay bills ahead of time.
Bill Pay will be unavailable during the shutdown, so plan to make payments either before or after the shutdown takes place. Previously scheduled recurring and one-time payments will not be affected. Payments made through the Webster First Payment Portal will also be unaffected.
Use a credit card for large purchases.
Debit card limits cannot be manually raised by our team during the shutdown. Our standard daily purchase limit is $1,500, and standard daily ATM withdrawal limit is $500. Members with higher limits will be able to access their full limit amount, provided the funds are available in your account.
Ask account-specific questions either prior to, or after, the shutdown.
Our support team will be available for their normal hours during the shutdown, but will be unable to access our systems, and therefore, any account information. Support will be limited to general inquiries.
